Raya Messiah: our first step from service into production

For years our name sat quietly behind the scenes of Indian cinema. Raya Messiah is the first thing we have made entirely our own.

For years, our name has sat quietly behind the scenes of Indian cinema. Trailers cut in our studio. Posters designed under our roof. Motion graphics, title cards, publicity campaigns, work that shapes how an audience feels about a film before they have even bought a ticket. That is the work we built GodMode Studioz on, and it is work we are proud of.

But we had never produced something entirely our own. Until now.

RAYA MESSIAH is a tribute to Rocking Star Yash and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups, and it is the first project we have made not as a service to a client, but as something that came directly from us.

Why we made it

Yash is one of the few actors who took Kannada cinema and placed it on a stage most people in this industry only ever dreamed was possible. Every studio in this space owes something to the films that expanded what regional cinema could be, and Toxic is one of those films.

We did not set out to make RAYA MESSIAH as a campaign or a commercial deliverable. There was no client brief, no production house asking for it. It came from a simpler place: the industry has given us our craft, our clients, and our purpose for years, and this felt like a chance to give a small piece of that back.

That is a different starting point than everything else we have made. Client work begins with someone else's brief. This began with our own reason to make something, and that changed how we approached every part of it.

What happened after it released

We did not expect the response RAYA MESSIAH got.

7,00,000+cumulative views
4,14,705poster views
28.5Kposter likes

Across our announcement, the main content, and every reel we put out around it, we crossed 7,00,000 cumulative views. Our announcement poster alone reached 4,14,705 views and 28.5K likes, numbers we have not seen on a single piece of content before.

What mattered more than the numbers was what people were actually saying. Comments calling out the lyrics as some of the best they had heard all year. People saying it played like an official soundtrack rather than a tribute made independently. Global entertainment pages, including LET's OTT, along with several major accounts on X, picked it up and shared it without us reaching out to a single one of them. Our YouTube comments section turned into something we genuinely did not anticipate, and we read every comment that came in.

None of that reach was paid for or engineered. It happened because the tribute resonated with people who care about this film and this actor as much as we do.

What this means for us going forward

We are still a studio built on service, and that is not changing. Trailers, motion graphics, publicity design, and the full range of work we do for production houses across the country remain the core of what GodMode Studioz does every day.

But RAYA MESSIAH marks something new alongside that. It is proof that when we step outside a client brief and make something from our own reasons, there is an audience ready to receive it, and receive it seriously. That is not something we take lightly, and it is not something we expected on our first attempt.

We are glad our first step into original production was not a commercial one. It was a tribute, made because we wanted to make it, and it found people who felt the same way about Toxic and about Yash that we did.
